Lady Raven and her pink Hydrangeas.

Lady Raven Moonshadow

Lady Raven Moonshadow came to the Wiccan path after a long period of seeking and searching within various spiritual paths as she was growing up.  After spending time studying and practicing the Craft on her own, Lady Raven began to hear the call to be a Priestess in order to help others find their path and to being knowledge and healing to those in need.  She joined the Coven of the Golden Sky in order to begin that part of her path.  When her High Priestess Lady Igraine became too ill to carry on her work with the coven, Lady Raven took over the path of High Priestess and the Sacred Mists was born.  In 2002 Sacred Mists moved from an offline coven to an online one in order to reach more people and help those without a means of learning or practicing in a group in their local area to be able to gain the same sort of experience online.

If you’d like to read more about Lady Raven’s reflection on her path and her experience you can read her personal post here.  If you would like to contact Lady Raven with questions of any kind you can use the contact form and she will be happy to help.wicca witchcraft pagan wicca shopping wicca witchcraft pagan wicca shopping wicca witchcraft pagan wicca shopping

Athmey in Jordon
Athmey drawing section plans during an archaeological dig in Jordon.

Athmey

Athmey was raised in a predominantly pagan household. Her grandmother was a practicing Wiccan with leanings towards Ásatrú, and a strong belief in the magick of dance (So much so that she and her husband founded the first magazine on Middle Eastern Dance, Habibi, in the 1970s). Her mother is a proclaimed spiritual agnostic with Wiccan leanings who’s practices are that of a natural witch. Athmey grew up surrounded by the beliefs, actions, and accumulated esoteric literature of these wonderful women and eventually came into the circle of the likewise loved Lady Raven Moonshadow via her maternal Uncle, Lady Raven’s mate.

Encouraged into tarot reading, séances, and the use of household altars at a young age, it is not surprising that she ventured into the study of the archaeology of ancient religious practices. With a degree in Ancient History and Archaeology from the University of Durham in the UK under her belt, she is currently working on postgraduate studies from the University of Leicester. She is a working archaeologist, most recently with a foundation which digitally scans archaeological monuments. She is also the Historical Paganism instructor at Sacred Mists College.

Pan the Druid
Pan the Druid

Pangur-ban Whitecat

I am a Druid which, considering I was brought up as a Christian and for the majority of my adult life I have been a fundamental one, is a pretty amazing statement.

In my mid-forties I began to be discontented with the Church although not with the figure of Jesus, who I still believe was a pretty good guy. To cut a long story short I work for a man who is also a Druid and after much soul searching I became a Pagan and more particularly a Druid. I am currently training with the Order of Bards, Ovates, and Druids. This quote says with more eloquence than I possess why I am a Druid.

“Druidry is a spirituality of simple things – of place and time, existence and imagination. It teaches the appreciation of sunrises and the sound of water. We are free to express divinity as we experience it. To those who are willing to learn, it teaches love and compassion, to listen to the song of our hearts and the music of the earth. And sometimes, hugging trees is in order!”

Rowan Pendragon
Rowan Pendragon

Rowan came to discover the Wiccan religion when she was about 11 years old after doing a lot of investigative work in the local library trying to answer her many questions about Witchcraft and magick that she’d had since she was a wee child.  Always believing that magick was real and having been deemed suspect for asking her Catechism teacher at 8 years old why there wasn’t a “Mother in Heaven” to go along with the “Father in Heaven” that she was supposed to be praying to, Rowan was happy to discover that there was a religion built around honoring a God and Goddess and the working of magick.  At 13 years old, in the back yard of her parents home in New England with a makeshift set of ritual tools and notes from a Scott Cunningham book, Rowan made her initial dedication to the Gods and has been following that path now for over 20 years.  Today Rowan live a few blocks from the Pacific Ocean in Southern California where she works as a writer and professional psychic.  Rowan is also a certified crystal lightworker, Reiki Master and paranormal investigator.

If you would like to contact Rowan you can reach her at Rowan@workingwitches.com.
