So if you use the example from above of "In the Northen quarter I call upon the element of Earth, and I call forth the power and aid of the elemental gnomes. Hail and Welcome!" you can release them by saying "In the Northern quarter I thank and release the element of Earth, and thank and release the elemental gnomes. Hail and Farewell." You might feel more drawn to say something more unique to the act of releasing, but the important part is that if you called in the direction, the element and an elemental guide is that you also release all three.
